DorShann+Jermaine
October 27, 2009
I think I could immediately tell by the start of the session with us that Jermaine was not feeling it. He was tired, (woken up to take ridiculous engagement photos nonetheless!!) and seemed generally annoyed at myself. BUT! As soon as there was a hint of the soon-to-be-Mrs. outdoing him in the modeling department, Mr. GQ himself stepped up his game. I could tell it with the slight eyebrow raise of disapproval of DorShann’s Vogueness. I even think he….enjoyed himself actually. : ) Jermaine, I give you a hard way to go. Kidding, kidding. Although DorShann’s probably not going to be too happy that you worked the camera so well. You should remember though- girls always win. ; )
I present to you Miss Vogue and Mr. GQ himself.
By the way, my persuasive skills paid off as a certain department store downtown (which will remain unnamed) let us use their cool pink display room which looked out onto the streets. People had to be very confused.

Way too cute.

I love this series. Cognac? Check.

Excuse me, please look less suave for the rest of us.

And just for kicks: If you live around Indianapolis, you know you’ve seen this guy. Local celebrity??

DorShann, Jermaine – I love to be around you both. I love your humor, your style, and I CANNOT WAIT until your wedding!
(P.S. A special thanks to the fabulous Katasha for stopping by and helping entertain us. (And making friends with the department store lady!!))

Andy+Emily
October 16, 2009Andy and Emily, THANK YOU for waiting on this post. : ) I know its been killing you. THANK YOU for making our day with you a blast. Thank you for seeing each other before the wedding. Thank you for being so in love and making it incredibly easy to capture fantastic moments. Andy, thank you for bringing your pink cowboy hat and being such a charmer. You are one of my favorite grooms of ALL TIME. Emily, thank you for being ridiculously beautiful and classy and sophisticated and silly all at the same time. We love you both to pieces, no joke.
I’m absolutely getting a 30×40 of one of these for my office. No, I have no idea which one. Blogstalkers, please enjoy and tell me which are your favorites from their fabulous wedding ( equals what should go up in my office??)!

I love having my bride and grooms’ see each other beforehand!!!! (!!!) It is one of the best decisions a bride and groom can make for their wedding day. And girls, believe me-it is still incredibly exciting when you “walk down the isle” to your groom. Plus, you have so much time to get even more fun and relaxed photos, you can go straight to your reception, and just enjoy your day together! Isn’t that the whole point?

I present to you the “Ralph Lauren” children. : )

I am completely in love with this next series.
And this one too.
These next two photos PROVE that it is still a monumental moment even when you break “tradition.”

So sue me. I used this similar location in a previous post but who cares because it worked better than any other place.

Hey, you can’t always be sophisticated. Sometimes you just have to be a little downright dirty silly. This makes me laugh every time I see it.
Pie!
Thanks for the pleasure of sharing and documenting your day!
And thanks for blogstalking. – A

October 9, 2009I really love the IMA for engagement sessions. Yeah, right. How many more times are we really going to see that love piece??? Anyway, to all of your surprise I actually (gasp!) picked to head to the IMA with the lovely Allison and Justin, because I wanted to get a few different aspects of it before I completely scrapped the thought of one more incredulous LOVE photo. Thankfully, they were down.
First and favorite!

Yes, we stole that ladder. Yes, we returned it.

Let’s play “Where’s Waldo?” only with bees!
Thanks to you both for being such great models and for loving each other to make us look like a good photographers! ; )
And thanks to my faithful blogstalkers.-A
Brianna Phelan: Such an awesome session. I love the colours in it!
Maya Laurent: Way to get some different angles of the IMA!
ally (is way too cool for school)
October 2, 2009Ally has been ever so patiently awaiting her crazy day of shooting with us through the middle of Nowheresville (Montgomery, IN). We traipsed though wheat fields, dirt, and for my personal enjoyment, poison ivy.

Just go with it.
Poison Ivy is so beautiful.

This last one was my favoriteish. Thanks for blogstalking!

Brenda Pusey: So in love!!!! They have that true country grit/attitude feel... she looks like she belongs there and not like you made a client go traipsing out in no man's land. I can't get over the personality and style. All around well done!!
Ben: That black and white in the creek is such a great photo. Very calming and smooth skin tones. Good job like always.
April (April Foster Events): This girl + your photography skills makes her look more like a model than a student. wow.
John Moon: This one is smokin! I love the barn shot with the backlighting. The dusty road looks like a scene out of a movie.
Christina Porter: THIS IS AMAzING!!! I LOVE THE WHEAT!
Maya Laurent: Love the car shots but I really, really like the black and white barn one the best! Great small town shots! :)

Jo-Anne Kyle: Fabulous! Can't wait to see the wedding.
Abby: Very sass! I can't wait to see more! Love the sneak peeks!
carolina: gorgeous color pallete!
